It is indeed shameful. Had this been in Italy or the States, it would have been a sacrosanct place.

If the same place is in Egypt it attracts more tourists and will be world known. They know how to preserve, maintain and show case the spot. I had been to bora caves recently and it seems the tourism department is only to advertise and sell tickets. There should be more restrooms, continuos trash removal, more trash cans at more places and most of the responsibility of cleanliness be given to the restaurants and shops who sell these plastic items. On top of everything the tourists are equally responsible for keeping the place more clean.
