This video takes us on a quick visit to the Erra Matti Dibbalu site. It explains why the area is important and the terrible impact of garbage on its natural beauty, For more than a decade now the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has been mishandling this site. Half-hearted attempts to convert it into a valuable tourist spot have failed. A couple of years ago it was declared as Geo Heritage site by an NGO but due to poor follow up and low management inputs it made no difference. It pops up in the news occasionally and vanishes from public view again. We must all work hard to give it the status it deserves. PLEASE CLICK THE LINKS BELOW TO SEE WHY IT NEEDED A CLEAN-UP

Erra Matti Dibbalu (Red Sand Dunes) is a beautiful but neglected site. It is considered as a Geo-Heritage site because of its unique red-colored sand dunes. Its beauty attracts several visitors and because there are no arrangements to manage the site the rubbish is left behind. Government agency is yet to take responsibility to maintain the site, consequently, garbage collects and stays there forever. When Sohan & Jayshree Hatangadi asked for volunteers to help clean up the site, several citizens came forward and lent a hand to remove the rubbish. Here is the video showing how the site was cleaned up on 5 January 2020. If you are interested in joining the next clean-up please comment below and leave your number. OR CALL ME ON +91 94412 25331
